Delphine leaves her family farm to study in the big city. Carole is a Spanish teacher and a militant feminist fighting for women’s rights in 1970s Paris. It wouldn’t have taken much, maybe five minutes, for the two to never have met. But fate has other plans, and no one can stand in the way of their turbulent romance intertwined with the struggle for equality, not even Carole’s boyfriend or Delphine’s suitor. But where they fail, Delphine’s father’s heart attack succeeds. She returns home to help out on the farm, soon followed by Carole. The countryside, however, is no Paris, a fact that the two young women are soon painfully forced to realize.
