Taipei is yet again afflicted by a lack of drinking water – this time due to a major drought. To fend off dehydration, the government recommends drinking melon juice as a substitute.
This musical combines a deep sense of camp, a woman's sexual awakening and a parody of the porn industry, while also incorporating Tsai’s signature themes of loneliness, lostness and alienation. This final instalment of the loose trilogy begun by What Time Is It There? ends things on an inconclusive, lightly perverse, yet positive note.
