Károly Makk belongs to the most respected Hungarian film directors of the second half of the 20th century. Another Way, set in post-revolution Hungary of the late 1950s, is an adaptation of an autobiographical novel by a well-known Hungarian writer Erzsébet Galgóczi. An editor (Kroner) of the paper Igazság (The Truth) hires a new sub-editor Eva. Her following career in the newsroom and her life as such are radically affected by two facts: she rejects the absence of morals in the politics, and she falls in love with her female colleague...
Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieslak won the best actress award for her role of Eva at Cannes film festival 1982.
