Nostalgia, a queer reading of kung fu (wu xia) classic Dragon Inn (d. King Hu), anonymous cruising spots and emotions in clouds of cigarette smoke meet at a cinema's final screening, featuring none other than Hu's film. While the movie plays, the cinema’s mysterious owner (manager), usher and filmgoers move through its corridors and lavatories, passing by and touching each other, their fervour for fulfilling their libidos even stronger than their passion for the onscreen heroes, holding out against the military offensive of a corrupt eunuch.
